Roberto Carlos Marçal Gamboa, borne 1969 in Lisbon - Portugal, is Professor Coordenador of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria – Portugal (Scholl of Maritime Technology) in the Physics area. Has PhD in Physics, Condensed Mater Physics, 2001 in the University of Lisbon, has a Master degree in Physics and Material Science in 1996 and a Licenciado Degree in Technological Physics in 1993. He Concluded in March 2008 a Post-graduation in Dirección Estratégica de Universidades, promoted by the UNESCO Cátedra of Direcció Universitária, da Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya, Barcelona-Spain. He is President of the scientific board of the Superior Scholl of Maritime Technology – Leiria Polytechnic Institute, since January 2007, He was also elected for the “General Board” of Polytechnic Institute of Leiria in November 2008.
Roberto Gamboa is a collaborative researcher of GIRM, Marine Resources Research Group at Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (Scholl of Maritime Technology) and also an integrated researcher at SESUL, Sustainable Energy Systems of the University of Lisbon, Research Centre, since 2007.
